WHAT WE STAND FOR The Stand Youth is taking a stand for Connecting young people to Jesus Christ and the Church, Developing them as disciples, and Empowering them for their best life. Connect. Develop. Empower. We see more and more young people calling The Stand their home all the time. But not just any kind of person, but disciples who are committed to taking up their cross and walking with Jesus forever.
The Stands Core Values are:
Freedom Galatians 5:1 - It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Jesus Christ came that we may be free. So at The Stand everything we do reflects the freedom we now have. We do nothing out of religion and everything because we are free. Growth Acts 16:5 – So the churches were strengthened in the faith and grew daily in numbers. Things that are healthy will grow. We will never stop growing. We are growing in breadth (new people), and in depth (new disciples). Everything we do makes room for new people to be a part of it and has a purpose behind it to take us deeper into the things of Heaven.
Belonging Acts 2:24 – And the believers were together and had everything in common. We are a Connect driven people. Our church is a Connect driven Church. We desire and work hard to create a place where every single young person finds a place they can belong. Everything we do is inclusive of other people. We will never shut out doors and say no more. We will never allow people to feel isolated inside our doors.
Excellence 1Chron 22:5 - the house that is to be built for the LORD shall be exceedingly magnificent, famous and glorious throughout all lands. Everything we do at The Stand we do “as for The Lord”. We have a desire to make His House “exceedingly famous and glorious throughout the Earth”.. Everything we do here we do with an eye for excellence and we do it to the very best of our ability. More then anything else we value excellence in spirit. We are excellent servers, givers, speakers, musicians, welcomers, Connectors, Developers, and Empowerers.
Fun Nehemiah 8:10 - Then he said to them, "Go, eat of the fat, drink of the sweet, and send portions to him who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength." The Stand youth ministry is fun at its core. Like God, we are not black and white but colourful! Everything we do must have a life filled backbone of fun. We laugh, we smile, we enjoy life.  |
